Warren (elbow) was designated for assignment by the Reds on Tuesday.
Warren underwent surgery to repair the UCL in his right elbow in September. Combine his health status with his poor performance, and it makes sense that the Reds would remove him from their 40-man roster to start the 2023 season. The 29-year-old reliever pitched 36 innings for Cincinnati last year, recording a 6.50 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in the process.
