Warren was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.
Warren struggled over his first two appearances in September, giving up six runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out three in 1.2 innings. The right-hander will attempt to sort things out in the minors after Luke Farrell was added to the Reds' active roster.
