The Reds outrighted Johnson to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster. Johnson saw spot duty with the Reds this season, going just 1-for-16 at the plate.
