McLain (shoulder) was cleared Friday to throw and run, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
McLain could start swinging a bat in about six weeks, which the infielder said would help determine a clearer timeline to complete his rehab. Both McLain and manager David Bell reaffirmed the goal for McLain to return this season.
