High-A Dayton placed Stewart on the 7-day injured list July 17 with a hand injury, MLB.com reports.

There's some speculation Stewart tore a tendon in his wrist and had surgery, but there hasn't been any firm reporting on that. Nonetheless, it seems quite possible Stewart's season is over, as he hasn't played since July 14. Stewart is capable of playing third and second base and slashed .279/.391/.454 with eight home runs, 10 steals, a 14.8 percent walk rate and a 16.9 percent strikeout rate in 80 games for the Dragons.
