Barnhart went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Twins.
He went back-to-back with Eugenio Suarez to lead off in the third inning, giving the Reds an early 2-1 lead in the back-and-forth affair. Barnhart had an .815 OPS at the end of May but hasn't contributed much since, slashing .243/.304/.348 over his last 38 games with two of his five homers on the year.
