With Matt Shoemaker scheduled to start Monday and Hector Santiago on Tuesday, it appears as if Angels pitcher Garrett Richards will be in line to start Sunday against the Astros, reports MLB.com.
Richards, who is coming off knee surgery, threw a bullpen session on Friday after a Triple-A rehab start on Tuesday. After his session, Richards said he's been able to accomplish every bench mark that was required of him during his rehab.
Richards went 13-4 with a 2.61 ERA in 168 2/3 innings in 2014.
