Twins pitcher Ricky Nolasco lasted five innings against the Angels Friday.
Nolasco allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits over five innings. He struck out five and walked one during the outing. Nolasco had trouble immediately. Mike Trout singled to open the game, and would up scoring on an error later in the inning. He gave up three straight singles in the second, the last of which drove in the second run. After a scoreless third inning, Nolasco gave up his final run in the fourth. He was able to get through the fifth inning unscathed, and was pulled at that point.
Nolasco exited with the game tied, picking up a no-decision. He’ll take on the Indians in his next start.
