Cano elected free agency after being outrighted by Atlanta on Thursday.
The 39-year-old was designated for assignment earlier this week, and it's hardly a surprise he'll be returning to the open market. Cano appeared in only nine games during his brief stint in Atlanta and went 4-for-26 with a double, a walk and a run. The veteran has a .373 OPS across 33 games in his three big-league stops this year, so he seems unlikely to receive a look from another team.
