Castano was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Castano was brought up to the big leagues Sunday and allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out three over 2.1 frames against the Diamondbacks. He'll return to Triple-A where he'll serve as organizational bullpen depth.
