Rodgers (hand) is starting at second base and batting sixth Friday against the Royals, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Rodgers sat out Tuesday and Wednesday with a hand injury but will retake the field coming off the Rockies' scheduled day off Thursday. The 25-year-old is 10-for-32 with a home run, two doubles, eight RBI and six runs over his past eight games.
