Adames is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Jenny Cavner of ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain Region reports.

Adames saw a string of starts last week when Daniel Descalso was on the paternity list, but his window for extensive action seems to have closed. Descalso hit a pinch-hit homer Friday and homered again while starting in Saturday's game, so he'll be rewarded with another start at shortstop Sunday. Adames may now have to settle for splitting duties at the position with Descalso in a best-case scenario.
