Tovar isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.
Tovar will move to the bench for a second time in three games after recording just one hit and five strikeouts in his last 13 at-bats. Cole Carrigg will shift to shortstop to cover for Tovar while Zac Veen, Jake McCarthy and Mickey Moniak start across the outfield.
