Anderson (knee) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The southpaw, who has been out all month with knee inflammation, continues to slowly move closer to a return to the Rockies. Tuesday will mark the first time he faces live hitters since landing on the disabled list, and the hope is that -- barring any setbacks -- he'll head out on a rehab assignment afterwards. With Jeff Hoffman pitching well in his place, it's still unclear if Anderson and his 5.85 ERA will rejoin the big-league rotation upon his return.
