Singer (9-13) took the loss Friday at Atlanta, pitching six innings while allowing two runs on four hits and three walks. He struck out five.

The Kansas City righty received no support from his offense, but he turned in his 13th quality start of the season with this 98-pitch outing. Singer generated a solid 14 whiffs en route to his five punchouts, with the only blemish on his evening being a two-run Sean Murphy homer in the fourth inning.
