Gallagher (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Gallagher has been sidelined since mid-June due to a right shoulder impingement, but his recovery progress has gone smoothly so far, and he participated in catching drills while dressed in full gear Wednesday. The 28-year-old will return to minor-league game action Thursday, and he could rejoin the major-league club in the near future.
