Adams was optioned to the Royals' alternate training site Sunday.
Adams' shuffle between the major-league roster and alternate camp continues. The right-hander was called up by Kansas City on Saturday but will be optioned for the second time in three days. He began the season on the injured list for an undisclosed reason and still hasn't made an appearance in the majors this year.
