Lynch (2-0) allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two over 2.2 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Nationals on Wednesday.

Michael Lorenzen (lower body) was pulled in the third inning, allowing Lynch to snag a win in a long-relief assignment. After struggling in a starting role in the first half, Lynch has thrived out of the bullpen. He has not allowed a run over 18.2 innings while giving up just seven hits with a 21:4 K:BB since he was recalled to the majors in late August. In that span, he's also earned both of his wins and a save.
