Loftin will be away from the team while welcoming a new addition to his family, and his move to the paternity list will likely end his season early. The 28-year-old surpassed 100 games played in a season for the first time this year and slashed .240/.322/.388 with eight homers, 45 RBI and 42 runs scored while doing so.
