Lopez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Guardians after getting hit by a pitch, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
The pitch hit Lopez's hand/wrist, and he was replaced at second base by Samad Taylor between innings. The Royals will take a closer look at Lopez and should provide more details relatively soon, but Lopez should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
