DeJong went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Twins.

DeJong had gone just 1-for-11 over his last six games before breaking out of the slump Wednesday. The infielder reached the 20-homer mark for the first time since he hit 30 in 2019. He's added a .235/.285/.442 slash line with 46 RBI, 44 runs scored, 15 doubles and two stolen bases across 112 contests between the Royals and White Sox. DeJong's big game could help him earn more playing time, but he's unlikely to be anywhere near an everyday player in the Royals' crowded infield.
