Sam Haggerty: Back on open market

The Reds released Haggerty on Thursday.

Haggerty will hit free agency for the second time this season after he was cut by the Rangers on June 7 before joining the Reds on a minor-league deal less than a week later. The 32-year-old utility man didn't gain any momentum for a promotion to the big leagues during his time in the Cincinnati organization, as he slashed just .205/.293/.273 over 99 plate appearances at Triple-A Louisville.
