The Giants released Williams from his minor-league deal Sunday.
Williams had some fleeting fantasy relevance in 2020 when he picked up six saves for the Mariners, but he's struggled just to maintain a spot in a big-league bullpen in the two seasons since. He was unable to earn a look with the Giants at any point in 2022 before the organization elected to cut ties with him after he submitted a 6.81 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB in 39.2 innings with Triple-A Sacramento.
