Hurter pitched well in his first career start, retiring 10 consecutive batters at one point and tallying a season-high 80 pitches. The rookie has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his five appearances with the Tigers while completing five or more innings in three of them. On the season, he owns a 3.57 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB across 22.1 innings and lines up to face the Padres early next week.
