The Tigers recalled Dingler from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
Dingler will receive his first big-league promotion after batting .308 with 17 home runs, 52 RBI, 44 runs scored and five stolen bases over 301 plate appearances with Toledo this season. The 25-year-old could have a leg up over Jake Rogers for playing time at catcher down the stretch.
