The Tigers reinstated Valdez from the bereavement list Saturday.
Valdez isn't lined up to make his next start until Detroit's next series against the Cubs, but he'll return to the team a few days ahead of time after moving to the bereavement list before the All-Star break. Beau Brieske was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
