Krol tossed a scoreless inning in Sunday's loss to Cleveland and has now gone eight straight appearances without allowing a run.
The eight appearances translate to 8.2 innings, and despite allowing nine hits and three walks during that span versus just six strikeouts, Krol has been able to keep the opposition off the board. The 30-year-old may have a hard time continuing the scoreless streak if he keeps putting runners on at a decent clip without a ton of strikeouts, but he's at least gotten off to a good start with the Tigers this year after not pitching in the majors since 2018. Krol should maintain a middle relief role with a chance at more high-leverage work at some point if he keeps stringing together clean outings.
