Flaherty (forearm) is slated to throw a 2-to-3 inning simulated game Saturday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Flaherty made a rehab start Sunday, throwing 19 pitches over 1.1 scoreless innings. He will get stretched out a bit more Saturday and could rejoin the Tigers' rotation next week, though he would likely not be prepared for a full workload. Flaherty has been sidelined since late July due to right forearm flexor inflammation.
