McCann is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

This marks the second time in three games McCann will cede the catching duties for Detroit. Given his poor batting line and how well Alex Avila has been hitting as of late, it wouldn't be too surprising if Avila continues to play ahead of McCann.
