Baez (back) will start at shortstop and bat third Tuesday against the Mariners.
Baez was pulled late in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Rangers due to back stiffness, but Monday's team off day seems to have provided the 29-year-old with enough time to move past the injury. He'll head into Tuesday's series opener sporting a .239/.278/.315 slash line for the month of August.
