Boyd's scheduled start against the Twins on Thursday was postponed, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
The two teams decided not to play Thursday's contest in protest of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Friday, and Boyd will likely take the mound for one of the two games of the twin bill.
