Tigers pitchers Bruce Rondon and Justin Verlander conducted throwing sessions Monday and reported no problems, reports MLive.com.

Rondon is on the disabled list with bicipital tendinitis, but he was able to throw 25 pitches to live hitters Monday.

"He looked really good," manager Brad Ausmus said. "Again, with him, it's been the day after. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it has been the same as the recent track record where he's felt pretty good the next day. "We'll know more [Tuesday] but as far as the simulated, live BP, he looked strong, threw all of his pitches."

Meanwhile, Verlander has been sidelined for the entire season with a strain in his right triceps and he was able to throw a 45-pitch bullpen session Monday.

"Felt good, went through my long toss and then threw 45 off the mound," he said. "All really good effort. By far the most intense bullpen I've throw yet. It was all good. Again, wait until [Tuesday], see how it responds. If it's all good, move forward."

Verlander added that he will most likely throw one more bullpen session then pitch in a simulated game before beginning his rehab assignment.

"I fatigued a little bit [Monday], like normal fatigue," Verlander said. "But I haven't thrown that many pitches with that much effort in a long time in the bullpen. You throw 45 in a row with that much effort, you don't really practice for that."
