The Tigers designated Miller for assignment Tuesday.
Miller has been used as a high-leverage reliever at times this season, but of late his stuff and swing-and-miss ability has fallen off, as he has just a 1:4 K:BB in 4.2 innings this month. There's a chance Miller will get scooped up on waivers, but that possibility lessens given that there's so little time left in the season.
