Skubal (12-3) earned the win against the Twins on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over seven innings.
Skubal allowed a two-run homer to Royce Lewis in the first inning and proceeded to shut down the Twins over the next six frames. Skubal has won both his starts after the All-Star break, going at least seven innings in back-to-back starts for the first time this season. His 12 wins this season are tied for the most in the American League and the most by a Tigers pitcher before August since 2014 when Max Scherzer and Rick Porcello did it.
