Anderson announced his retirement from professional baseball Monday.
Anderson hasn't played anywhere since being released by the Angels last May, and he has now officially decided to hang up his cleats. The 33-year-old slashed .288/.316/.442 in his first seven major-league seasons, making two All-Star Game appearances, but his career crated after that with a .232/.269/.270 batting line in his final three campaigns.
