The Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League signed Bauer to a contract Thursday.
Bauer spent the 2025 season with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, posting a 4.51 ERA over 133.2 innings. The 35-year-old has not pitched at the major-league level since 2021, and it's highly unlikely he'll ever return to a big-league organization.
