The Twins optioned Roden to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.

He's being cleared off the active roster to make room for the arrival of top prospect Walker Jenkins. Roden has slashed .254/.333/.313 in 28 games with the Twins this season and had been playing sparingly of late.
