Meyer was optioned to Triple-A Rochester following Tuesday's game against the Astros, LaVelle E. Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Meyer struggled through his start, lasting just 2.2 innings while giving up three runs on three hits and three walks prior to being pulled. The Twins will reportedly recall J.R. Graham to replace him on the 25-man roster but is expected to be a temporary call-up until Ervin Santana (back) returns from the disabled list. Meyer could have a future in the MLB, but issues with his command could lead to that being a bullpen role.
