Berrios was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old's first run in the Twins' rotation came to an end Tuesday following his disastrous outing Monday in which he allowed seven earned runs and walked four batters over just 0.2 innings against the Tigers. Still, Berrios has a ton of upside and figures to be back up with the Twins before the end of the season. He will need to work on his command while at Triple-A, however, as he surrendered 12 walks in just 15.0 innings of work with the Twins during his four-game stint. The Twins recalled Taylor Rogers in a corresponding move Tuesday.
