Clemens is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
The Twins will load the lineup with mostly right-handed bats and switch hitters to counter tough lefty Reid Detmers, with Victor Caratini starting at first base and Royce Lewis at the keystone for Minnesota. Clemens leads the team with 26 homers this season, but his .689 OPS against southpaw pitching is more than 100 points below his mark against righties (.797).
