Garver isn't in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals.
Garver went 3-for-6 with two runs in the series finale against the Brewers on Wednesday, but he'll get a breather for the first portion of Saturday's twin bill. Alex Avila will start behind the dish, batting ninth.
