Garver isn't starting Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Boston, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Garver will retreat to the bench for the second time in the last three games after he went hitless with a walk and a strikeout in four at-bats Tuesday. Ryan Jeffers will serve as the starting catcher for the first game of Wednesday's twin bill.
