Jeffers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
He'll take a seat for the first time in 2022 after starting the Twins' first three games at either catcher or designated hitter. Jeffers' superior defense may give him the upper hand on Gary Sanchez for playing time behind the dish, but the former's high strikeout rate will make it difficult to count on him for fantasy purposes as anything more than No. 2 catcher in most mixed leagues.
