Milone has been placed on waivers, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Milone will be dropped from the 40-man roster and head to Triple-A if he clears waivers. Milone began the season in the rotation, but was moved to the bullpen and still struggled as his ERA rose to 5.79. The Twins will activate Ervin Santana from the DL in Milone's place.
