White Sox starter Jose Quintana was excellent in his outing against the Royals on Saturday night. The left-hander fired seven shutout innings, allowing seven hits and no walks while striking out five, en route to the 6-1 victory.
After a couple of mediocre performances, Quintana (8-10, 3.60 ERA) was in fine form on Saturday. This was his second scoreless outing of the season, with the other being a complete-game shutout back on July 24.
