Benintendi went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Tigers.
The 30-year-old outfielder tied his career high in the eighth inning with his 20th homer of the season, as he ripped a cutter from Ty Madden over the fence in right field. Benintendi has been one of the few bright spots in a futile season for the White Sox, and since the beginning of August he's hit .275 with 12 long balls and 33 RBI in 47 contests.
