Vaughn was activated from the 10-day injured list Thursday and is starting at third base and batting sixth in Game 2 of the doubleheader versus Cleveland.
The 23-year-old last played Sept. 9 before suffering a back injury. Prior to being placed on the IL, Vaughn went 17 games without registering a multi-hit effort. Over that stretch he batted .115 with only one home run in 61 at-bats.
