Vaughn (foot) is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Twins.

Vaughn will miss a third straight game as he nurses a foot injury, though he'll likely be able to return to the lineup in the near future after X-rays turned up negative. Gavin Sheets will start at first base and bat seventh in the series opener with Minnesota.
