Beck was recalled by the White Sox on Tuesday.
With Zach Putnam landing on the disabled list Tuesday, the White Sox recalled Beck to take his place out of the bullpen for the time being. Beck has worked as both a starter and a reliever at Triple-A Charlotte this season, so he could provide value as a long reliever should a Chicago starter fail to go deep into their respective outing. That said, Beck's numbers at Triple-A (4.47 ERA, 1.52 WHIP) don't inspire much confidence in his fantasy upside.
