Jimenez (foot) is batting cleanup as the designated hitter in Friday's split-squad game against the A's.

The 27-year-old suffered a contusion Wednesday after fouling a ball off his foot, but he'll return to the starting nine just two days later. Jimenez avoided a serious injury, but health remains a concern given that he's missed at least 40 games in each full season of his MLB career.
